// comparison · rust hosting

Rust hosts compared.
Including our gaps.

Pick by what your server needs, not by the logo. If you want automatic wipes or a staging branch today, Shockbyte and Pine have both and we don’t yet. If you want plans sized by measured RAM, your wipe-schedule tag and the in-game wipe timer set for you from one schedule, and a 7-day money-back window, that is us. Every competitor fact below comes from that host’s own site, checked on the date shown.

The comparison

Prices are each host’s default US-dollar price for a logged-out visitor, monthly, before discount codes, checked on 19 October 2026. “Not stated” means we could not find it on the host’s own site, not that they lack it.

Where we are behind

  • No automatic wipes yet. Your schedule sets the tag and the wipe timer, but you still run the wipe yourself. Shockbyte, Pine and Physgun schedule the wipe itself. Our wipe files guide shows exactly what to delete in the meantime.
  • No staging branch. Shockbyte and Pine both offer it. We can’t deliver it on our current setup, so we don’t claim it.
  • Rust+ doesn’t pair yet. The companion registration returns an error we haven’t solved. Every other host here says Rust+ works.
  • Fewer locations. Six, against 12 to 15 at the big three. If your players are in Asia or South America, look at G-Portal or Host Havoc.
  • We are new. No reviews yet under this name. We are run by Connect Hosting, on the same platform and hardware it runs its other games on.

Where we are ahead

  • Your wipe schedule does the browser work for you. Every host here documents server.tags, and Shockbyte documents the wipe-timer convars too, but in every case you type them in and keep them in step with your wipe yourself. On ours, one schedule writes both. In our census of every public Rust server, servers with a wipe-schedule tag averaged 6.4 players against 0.8 without one. The tags guide has the full numbers.
  • Sized on measured RAM. Nobody else here publishes what a Rust server actually uses. We measured it: a 4000 map with Carbon and nobody on it sits at 6.65 GB. Physgun’s table says 9.8 GB for the same map and Pine’s formula about 5.25 GB. Neither shows a measurement.
  • A 7-day money-back window, against 48 hours to 3 days at four of the five. G-Portal’s UK/EU terms give 14 days.
